GREGORY S. LOVE

Gregory Love earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree – Accounting – from Texas Tech University in 1987. In 1990, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech School of Law, where he served as associate editor of the Texas Tech Law Review. Later that year, he was admitted to the Texas State Bar. Subsequently, he has been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation. His peers have repeatedly chosen him as one of Tarrant County’s “Top Attorneys” (Fort Worth, Texas Magazine).

Mr. Love has served as a guest lecturer at Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas (Legal Procedure – Motions for Summary Judgment); and a guest lecturer regarding sexual abuse at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

KIMBERLEE D. NORRIS

Kimberlee Norris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University in 1985. In 1990, she received her Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law, where she served on the Baylor Law Review. Later that year, she was admitted to the Texas State Bar. She is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, and United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. She is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation. She was featured on the cover of ‘Texas Lawyer’ ( May, 2004), in a story which chronicled sexual abuse litigation in Jehovah’s Witnesses congregations, and serves as a frequent speaker in cult conferences throughout the United States, including conferences sponsored by the International Cultic Studies Association.

THE FIRM

Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris are partners at the law firm of Love & Norris, based in Fort Worth, Texas. Love and Norris have developed a national sexual abuse litigation practice, representing hundreds of victims of child sexual abuse. In addition, the firm represents secular organizations and ministries in legal matters related to child safety and sexual abuse.

One of the firm’s recent case resolutions, highlighted by NBC news on November 21, 2007, related to sexual abuse in the Watchtower Society (‘Jehovah’s Witnesses’) involving a sexual predator (and congregation leader) who remains one of the FBI’s Top 10 ‘most wanted’ list.

In addition to sexual abuse litigation, Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris represent entities providing programming for children, including the Gladney Center for Adoption, Lena Pope Home, H.O.P.E. Farm, and church and para-church ministries.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

While pursuing an active law practice, Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris serve as Directors of MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems, entities dedicated to sexual abuse awareness and prevention. MinistrySafe and Abuse Prevention Systems provide Sexual Abuse Awareness Training (live and online) and assist child care entities and children’s organizations in the design and implementation of safety systems which reduce the risk of child sexual abuse.

Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris are frequent speakers before entities and organizations involving children’s ministry, youth ministry, day care, Vacation Bible Schools, adoption agencies, foster care organizations, youth camps and schools. Both have addressed national and regional audiences for organizations such as the National Association of Church Business Administrators (NACBA), National Council for Adoption (NCFA), Young Life, Texas Alliance for Childcare, Tarrant NET, and the Tarrant Baptist Association (TBA). They are featured writers for the NACBA resource entitled ‘Professional Practices in Church Administration’, as well as publications discussing principles of sexual abuse prevention and policies designed to reduce the risk of sexual abuse in children’s organizations.

Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris are actively involved as lay leaders in children’s and youth ministry at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
